9th Annual Media That Matters Film Festival
The 9th Annual Media That Matters Festival presented INFORM's The Secret Life of Paper with The Rethinking Resources Award on June 4th at HBO Studios in New York City. The video was one of only two environmentally-themed films chosen for this year's collection of twelve short films, which premiered on June 3rd, 2009. The Media That Matters Festival, co-sponsored by Arts Engine and Cinereach, showcases inspiring short films that tackle a range of social justice and human rights issues. The festival's theme is "Screen-Act-Impact" and each of the winning short films is paired with take-action links. The Festival collection is screened nationally and internationally for a full year and reaches an estimated worldwide audience of 1 million.
